October turned out to be one of the best months for the markets on record. This despite the fear and despair amongst investors in the summer.
Once again, illustrating the importance of having a long-term, disciplined investment approach that enables investors to be "in their seats" when the market goes up rather than sitting on the sidelines in cash worrying about the news.
In this edition of market insights, we look at the volatility of equities since 1926 and conclude that the volatility isn't unprecedented.
